I just finished Chapter 2 and I found it very informative. It was an easy read, written for the average person as opposed to the engineers that most manuals are written for.

I just finished reading Chapter 3 and I must say, I found it pretty interesting. I honestly had no idea how the electrical system decided on what to charge customers and this chapter gave a general explanation. And I liked the links for more information if I wanted to do further research.

— Sheila Lalonde, Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo

Just finished reviewing the chapter on Alberta’s Electricity System. It provides an excellent overview of the system and how it operates. I particularly appreciated the analysis of the various players in the system and how electricity moves from generator to the user. Also appreciated the description of the various energy sources, how they work in terms of generating power as well as the advantages and challenges of each.

This chapter provides an excellent review for anyone trying to understand the system as a whole. The comparative analysis would also be helpful for groups looking at developing project in their communities.

— Bill Tonita, Strathcona County

I do like the “Key Learnings” and “Further Learning” at the end of the chapters. It encourages those who need more detail or context to go after it while ensuring that the booklets are not cluttered with extraneous information that may be beyond someone’s involvement in the projects.

— Trina Jones, Town of Legal
