With over 20 years in the energy management industry, Andrew brings a passion and expertise in providing comprehensive building and energy management solutions to enable more efficient, sustainable, and resilient facilities. Andrew holds both a B.Sc. in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration (specializing in Entrepreneurship) which allows him to leverage his technical background to meet the business needs of the companies he works with.

Andrew began his career with Power Measurement working in the global Research and Development team after graduating from the University of Victoria. Soon afterwards (April 2005) Schneider Electric acquired Power Measurement and really began Andrew’s journey into the much broader Energy Management space. Continuing his more technical work in software development, Andrew grew his passion to learn more about how and why companies were looking to improve their energy efficiency, whether on the small scale all the way up to the most energy-intensive industries. Andrew moved into a Product Owner role which allowed him to remain technically involved in the development space but working directly with his customers and stakeholders to develop specific solutions to meet customer and market energy management needs. Andrew then moved his career away from the global team and became the offer manager for the Canadian business, allowing him to be much more directly connected to the Canadian market and customers. As his passion grew in the energy management space, his scope and responsibilities also grew as he moved into a National Marketing Director role allowing much more input and leadership on what kind of solutions could be brought to market. In Andrew’s most recent change, he is now responsible for the mid to long-term strategy of the Canadian Digital Energy and Power Products business – focusing on mechanical, electrical and microgrid solutions. Working closely with his stakeholders, peers, colleagues, and customers, he is helping shape the future vision of the energy management landscape.

Andrew is excited to work with the passionate, diverse and experienced board of directors at Decentralised Energy Canada to enable and empower a more sustainable Canadian energy landscape.
