Join Chris Owttrim, ERA’s Executive Director of Technology and Innovation, and David Van Den Assem, Director of Clean Technology - Clean Resources with Alberta Innovates, for an hour-long informational webinar on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 10-11 a.m MDT. They will provide an overview of the funding opportunity, including scope and eligibility of the call, the submission process, and timelines for decisions. Participants will also have the chance to ask specific questions to help prepare an application.

This $25 million Accelerating Hydrogen Challenge will contribute significantly towards building a strong pipeline of hydrogen technologies across the province’s value chain, including hydrogen production, storage, transmission, and end-use. Successful applicants are eligible for up to $7 million with a minimum request of $250,000.

Alberta Innovates (AI) is concurrently announcing its $20 million Advancing Hydrogen – Competition 2 to support early-stage innovations in areas. This opportunity is funded through Alberta’s Hydrogen Centre of Excellence. An additional $5 million will come from Natural Resources Canada (NRCan).
