Three Nations Energy (3NE), owned jointly by the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation, Mikisew Cree First Nation, and Fort Chipewyan Metis Association, is holding a VIRTUAL GRAND OPENING, CELEBRATION and INFORMATIONAL WEBINAR on Wednesday, November 18th at 2pm MST for Canada’s largest remote community solar project. Together with a smaller solar farm built last year by ATCO, the project will have nearly 3 MW DC capacity and will supply this remote Alberta community of 1200 residents with 25% of its annual electricity needs. This will displace more than 800,000 litres of diesel fuel and associated greenhouse gas emissions each year. 3NE has worked in close partnership with ATCO and appreciates capital contributions from both the Governments of Canada, and Alberta.
Please join ACFN, MCFN and Metis Leaders, Directors of 3NE and ATCO in a virtual celebration and grand opening of our new solar farm. Learn more about the unique aspects of this project and additional green energy and sustainable business projects now moving forward in the community!
A press release will be distributed prior to the Webinar, on Wednesday, November 18th. To gain additional insight, participate and ‘meet’ people involved in the project, join us and:
