We are at the beginning of the most decisive decade in our lifetimes. What we do in the next 10 years will set the course for our net-zero future.
Failure is not an option when it comes to climate change. Transforming our energy and transportation systems is key to achieving a net-zero future. The world has already started transitioning, disrupting energy markets and putting pressure on fossil fuel development. Adding to the pressure, the Government of Canada has legislated a net-zero emissions target for 2050.
Over two days, participants will tackle the big questions: What is the pathway to carbon neutrality for energy and transportation in Canada? How can we ensure our country is competitive while undergoing system transformation? How do we scale clean solutions and innovation? How do we ensure the transition is just and that no one is left behind in the fight against climate change – including those whose jobs are put at risk by the transition to cleaner energy?
