Online Course – Contracts for the Solar Industry

This online course is delivered as four 2-hour sessions through Zoom. A link will be mailed to registrants one week before the first class.

September 24, 26, and October 1 & 3; 7-9 p.m. MT

In this course, you will learn:

  • The essential elements of a contract

  • Risk identification and mitigation

  • How to write a Scope of Work for solar PV projects and gather all the supporting details.

  • How to structure the pricing

  • How to comply with the Alberta Solar Business Code of Conduct

  • Plus contract bidding and administration

This​ course ​focuses​ ​primarily​ ​on​ ​“Construction”​ ​contracts​ ​by​ clarifying and elaborating ​project​ ​details,​ ​risks, and​ ​variables​.​ ​Proper​ ​technical​ ​details​ ​and​ ​participant​ ​responsibilities​ ​can become​ ​the​ ​core​ ​of​ ​successful​ ​contracts.​ This course also introduces non​-​technical,​ ​legal​ considerations​,​ ​but​ ​these​ ​require​ ​more​ ​time​ ​than​ ​we​ ​have​ ​in​ ​the ​course.​
