While energy can help power our communities and offer a higher state of welfare, one in five people worldwide still lack access to modern electricity. The recent rise in accessible energy sources means that more people are able to benefit, and it is expected that by 2050, there will be a 35% greater global demand for energy. It is fundamental to prioritize energy efficiency and clean energy sources so that the corresponding rise in supply will not lead to unnecessary emissions.
