July 27 & 28; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. MT
This hands-on course focuses on the commissioning, operations, and maintenance of interactive residential and commercial-scale solar PV projects less than 1 MW. Day 1 will be spent in the classroom and Day 2 will involve hands-on practice with commissioning, operations and maintenance tasks with a solar array.
In this course, you will learn to:
Interpret specifications for the major components of photovoltaic (PV) systems
Specify major components of grid-interactive PV systems
Specify the Balance of System (BOS) components of PV systems
Apply the appropriate sections of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) to PV system design
Identify mounting methods and structural constraints, as well as commissioning safety procedures for rooftop PV arrays
Become aware of various design and modelling tools
