Solar PV Systems: Electrical Code

Feb. 27, Mar 4 & 6 (7:00 to 9:00 p.m. MT)

The new Canadian Electrical Code comes into effect in Alberta on April 1, 2025. The Code includes significant updates related to solar PV systems, including changes that affect the placement of inverters and a new option for initiating rapid shutdown. The updates are also important for solar-related technologies such as energy storage and electric vehicle wiring.

Register for this 3-night course to become familiar with the most crucial inspection points of common solar PV systems and all the updates to the new Electrical Code standards as they apply to solar photovoltaic (PV) installations. This course is intended for electricians, technicians, engineers, solar installers, sales people, and those with a good understanding of electrical theory and electrical terminology who want to ensure that their solar installations meet the current Canadian Electrical Code standards. It focuses on grid-interactive residential and commercial-scale solar PV projects less than 1 MW.
