NRCan’s Federal Buildings Initiative, as part of NRCan’s Greening Government Services program, provides opportunities to Energy Service Companies to bid on federal Energy Performance Contracts (EPCs).

Submit your application to get on the list

This is an opportunity to collaborate with NRCan and add your company to the Qualified Bidders List (QBL) of Energy Service Companies (ESCOs). Qualifying through NRCan’s QBL will enable your company to deliver energy performance contracts (EPCs) with federal organizations.

QBL qualification requirements have been updated to directly address the technical, managerial, and financial expertise necessary to deliver EPCs. The updated requirements are expected to increase access to the QBL for ESCOs with limited performance-based contracting experience.

Why you should apply

  • Become qualified to deliver energy performance contracts to the Government of Canada

  • Recognize the expertise of your firm through formal qualification

  • Set your company apart from the competition

  • Work with federal organizations towards achieving net-zero emissions by 2050
