Electronic Grid Systems

Electronic Grid Systems is a startup based in Edmonton. Founded in 2020, eGrid Systems received the funding support from the GreenSTEM program funded by the Government of Alberta. The team is currently developing a new, low cost microgrid platform based on advanced, patented, and patent-pending power electronics and control technologies. eGrid's solutions offer non-wire alternatives (NWA) for utilities to address the challenges caused by the increased demand for electricity and the undermined power quality by high penetration of distributed energy resources. The new technologies will allow more renewable energy resources to be smoothly integrated in the electric grid in a cost-effective way so that everyone will enjoy clean but also cheap electricity.
