Kineticor Resource Corp., along with its development partners Macquarie Capital and OPTrust, announced that it has successfully closed financing on its 900MW Cascade combined cycle generating facility located near Edson, Alberta. 

The AUC has initiated a variance Proceeding 25848: AESO adjusted metering practice and substation fraction methodology. The scope of the proceeding is set out in AUC Proceeding 25848 X0004 Appendix A. Responses from registered parties are required by September 15, 2020 with response submissions due September 29, 2020.

The AESO will be hosting a stakeholder information session September 10 regarding changes to the Connection, Behind the Fence and Contract Processes resulting from the Amended 2018 ISO Tariff Application.

Capital Power received AUC approval (Proceeding 25780) to make changes to the layout of the 298MW Whitla Phase 2 wind farm and to delay completion from October 31, 2020 to December 31, 2021.

TransAlta Development Partnership, formerly TransAlta MidAmerican Partnership, applied (AUC Proceeding 25811) to the AUC to cancel its approval (AUC Proceeding 3183) of the 856 MW Sundance 7 combined cycle generating station.

ENMAX applied (AUC Proceeding 25835) to delay completion of its 10MW, 4.3 MWh lithium-ion battery addition (AUC Proceeding 25230) to Unit 3 of its Crossfield Energy Centre from September 2020 to February 2021 due to a vendor Force Majeure claim related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
