Hunter Brett

Hunter is a professional geologist by trade who has begun his sustainability journey through the enrollment in the MSc. of Sustainable Energy Development (SEDV) at the University of Calgary. The program is STEM-based with a capstone project to culminate the 16-month program. He currently sits on the SEDV Society as a Professional Development Director, helping connect industry to the program through school-based talk series and most recently beginning to collaborate with Innovate Calgary on the speaker series known as ‘Tech Tuesdays’. In addition to this, Hunter is a Marketing Co-Chair for the Earth Science for Society (ESfS), which puts together an annual exhibit for elementary and junior high students. His previous experience in geologic activities within critical metal mining and current role as an energy analyst has propelled him into the CCUS, new energies, energy storage, and carbon accounting. Outside of work his interests lay within sports, mountain activities and gastronomy.
