Lakeland College Microcredential >> Bioenergy & Biofuel Microcredential

If you are looking to build your knowledge for opportunities in the renewable energy sector, this program is for you. You will gain a solid understanding of biogas principles and production, including bio-mass, bio-energy, bio-heat, as well as emerging technologies in the field of biofuel, and introductory knowledge about hydrogen energy technology.

Our program also offers a unique hands-on bio-diesel lab in our state-of-the-art lab. You will learn procedures and tools used to produce biodiesel from scratch, and you will tour a bio-energy facility. 

The bio-energy & biofuel microcredential includes three online courses and one optional on-site lab.  Each course only takes 8 weeks to complete. You can effectively undertake this program while working full-time, from anywhere in Canada. Another great feature is that you can pay as you go! This means you only pay one course at a time.
