North Parkland Power Co-op

North Parkland Power Co-op is an Alberta based, self-operated, member-owned co-operative that has been providing safe and reliable power to rural subdivisions, farms, acreages and commercial operations for over 25 years. Its roots, prior to amalgamation with other smaller power co-ops, stem back to the early 1950’s.

The power co-op team prides itself on being diverse and knowledgeable in the provision of competitive and innovative utility services. 

Not only is North Parkland Power Co-op an electric distribution company (a full-service energy supplier to its membership) and one of the founding partners in a subsidiary renewable energy power co- operative, they also participate in industry committees and government relations initiatives that are helping to shape the future of electricity generation, distribution, and billing. North Parkland Power Co-op is committed to the co-operative principles and its application of those principles across Alberta and within the communities they serve. A resilient, member owned, locally operated, utility and energy market participant. This is demonstrated through their support of broader industry initiatives in addition to the local economy; through jobs and sourcing of supplies, annual participation in community events, providing community programming sponsorships and educational scholarships.
