Are you ready to be a leader in AI adoption in the energy sector?

We are currently seeking applicants for our next Reducing Emissions through Machine Intelligence (REMI) Energy Cohort.

Accelerated solutions to complex problems

Methane is a potent greenhouse gas with more than 70 times the climate warming impact of carbon dioxide over a 20-year timespan. Reducing methane pollution is an essential pillar of Canada’s climate plan: a plan that includes a rigorous target of reducing emissions by 40-45% below 2012 levels by 2025 with hefty fines for missing the mark.

To meet these targets, government and industry are looking for new and innovative ways to reduce emissions and all eyes are on AI.

That’s where we come in.

Amii’s Reducing Emissions through Machine Intelligence (REMI) program provides an opportunity to harness the power of AI to accelerate your organization's emissions reduction strategy.

Reducing emissions through machine intelligence

The REMI program is designed to help startups, SMEs, and enterprises use AI technology to make better decisions about how to most effectively reduce greenhouse gases while also improving operations and increasing revenue.

Organizations selected to participate in the REMI program are coached on how to adopt AI for emissions reduction for their business by:

  • Assisting in identifying and describing critical opportunities for emissions reduction through AI;

  • Providing ongoing business and technical education in foundational and applied AI; and

  • Acting as advisors and mentors to support your company to employ AI to reduce emissions.

Upon completion, program participants are able to broadly apply new skills and knowledge in AI and ML to further increase business effectiveness in areas outside of emission reduction.

The REMI program is made possible through the support of the Government of Alberta’s Ministry of Environment and Parks TIER Program. Through that grant, we are able to offer highly subsidized pricing for participants from Alberta.

Application deadline extended to Sept. 22, 2021.
