Stuart Mills

Stuart Mills is a Mechanical E.I.T. who recently completed a Sustainable Energy Development degree at the University of Calgary. Before returning to school Stuart worked as an Integrity E.I.T. and an emergency management contractor. Stuart decided to return to school to get his master’s because emerging technologies can help combat climate change while improving efficiency.

During his master’s Stuart researched the potential of using waste heat combined with an Organic Rankine Cycle to meet a Canadian greenhouse's heating and electrical demands to generate revenue without creating more carbon emissions. In addition to this project Stuart also participated in the REDEVELOPED NSERC program where alongside his team he examined the feasibility of different grid storage technologies in Alberta. Since graduating in September Stuart has been working with clients to expand on his research in utilizing waste heat.
