Sustainable Development Goals Program – Grants Stream

This funding opportunity aims to support the federal government’s implementation of the 2030 Agenda by strengthening partnerships and engagement with Canadians. In 2015, Canada and all other United Nations Member States, committed to implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which set 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to eliminate poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity by the year 2030.

The Grants stream of this Call for Proposals (CFP) will fund projects that increase public awareness, share best practices or lessons learned that support and enhance Canada’s progress on the 2030 Agenda particularly within equity-deserving groups and groups or individuals in vulnerable situations.

Application period: November 20, 2023 to January 12, 2024 at 11:59 pm, Pacific Standard Time (PST)

Funding amount: Up to $200,000 for a project that is up to 24 months (maximum $100,000 per fiscal year)

Who can apply: Not-for-profit organizations, municipalities, provincial and territorial governments, Indigenous organizations, coalitions, networks and committees, research organizations or institutes, educational, health, and social institutions, and for-profit organizations (with exceptions)
