It should come as no surprise that CleanTechnica admires and values the empowering, strong heat pump. For a time, put aside today’s news and smile at those who are truly working to ensure an excellent product for everyone. Where previous generations’ already exceptional performance fell a bit short, the heat pump’s most current incarnation excels.

As Tina Casey has mentioned, the previous administration encouraged household appliance manufacturers to improve the efficiency of heat pumps in frigid climates.

Thanks to the Biden-Harris administration, with performance and cost reduction in mind, the Department of Energy has been encouraging the energy efficiency protective envelope for cold-climate heat pumps here in the United States. CleanTechnica earlier reported that, in 2021, the agency partnered with Natural Resources Canada and the Environmental Protection Agency to bring industry stakeholders together under the banner of the “Cold Climate Heat Pump Technology Challenge.”
