Transition Town: Communities for the Next Generation
Sustainable cities and communities play a pivotal role in tackling the challenges that come with urbanization. Cities continue to see exponential growth where insufficient urban planning can lead to climate vulnerabilities and inadequate infrastructure to meet their changing needs. These inadequacies are directly tied to consequences such as increased land use, environmental degradation and an amplified demand on natural resources to name a few.
Smart, sustainable cities are taking action with support of advanced technologies and their applications to address these challenges. Hear from panelists who are working to improve the quality of life of their citizens throughout Alberta.
