New Developments in Energy Modeling, Urban Transitions, and Energy Poverty

The second of three WISER, SPI, & WIRE symposia showcasing the work of a diverse and interdisciplinary group of energy transition scholars.

WISER, SPI, and WIRE welcome you to three connected online and open symposia this year showcasing the work of a diverse and interdisciplinary group of energy transitions scholars. The three symposia address vital topics central to energy transformations in Canada and abroad. This project will address diversity gaps in energy research and practice by increasing the profile of racially diverse energy scholars who identify as women, genderfluid, or non-binary. Topics addressed include: Indigenous sovereignty, gender diverse leadership, advances in energy modelling, policy change, energy poverty and understanding inclusive and democratic energy transitions.

This event is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend. The discussion will seek to engage an audience looking for diverse and inclusive policy-oriented solutions in the area of sustainable energy transitions.
