DEC is pleased to announce the appointment of Liz Lappin and Pratap Revuru to our 2020 Board of Directors

Liz is a Professional Geologist with a solid background in capturing value from Alberta’s energy industry. Liz brings this experience to the E3 Metals team as she drives the technical team towards the development of our lithium brine projects. As a great believer in collaboration, Liz is focused on maximizing asset value through technical excellence and creative cooperation between disciplines. Working across Western North America, Liz has gained a foundation of technical experience with oil and gas majors such as Cenovus, Encana and Suncor. More recently, Liz was the founder and principal consultant at Castle Rock Consulting Ltd., which specializes in geothermal value creation for the energy industry in Canada. Liz is a Fellow of the Energy Futures Lab, and was honoured to receive a Young Woman in Energy Award in 2017 for her dedication to challenging industry norms by pursuing a broader energy mix in Alberta.

Pratap’s focus areas include developing and leading Microgrid Solutions for various customers using Distributed Energy Resources and EcoStruxure platform. He actively builds strategic partners for Microgrid & Energy as a Service (EaaS) and offers broad expertise in energy optimization and the new energy landscape to make energy green, sustainable and affordable for all.

Prior to this, Pratap was Senior Manager, IoT Solutions and Partnerships where he led a engineering team in establishing Schneider Electric Smart Grid Laboratory (SESG Lab) with smart grid solutions for a collaborative space for utilities, academia and industry. Pratap is leading the efforts to build Smart Building Analytics Living Lab at Ryerson University and managed the development of Markham Municipality’s Alectra Drive for the Workplace project and its Demand Energy Resource Management System (DERMS). >35 years of experience in power system analysis, renewable energy projects, business development and tender management and has directed the implementation of strategic and operational goals of the organization.

Pratap is a Certified Solution Architect Professional & Electric Utilities and Energy Management Professional. Ryerson University - Center for Urban Energy (CUE) Honorary Fellow. Registered Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario. Actively involved in Engineering Professional Associations - Senior Member in IEEE, NSERC Energy Storage Technology Network (NEST) Research Steering & Commercial out-reach Committee Member.
