No two municipalities are alike - communities across Canada require different asset management training options that are close to home and specific to their needs.

To address these needs, FCM's 18 partner organizations are delivering 48 local asset management training activities, including group learning, hands on training and online training opportunities, in Canadian communities of all sizes. Municipal staff and elected officials will be able to access asset management courses (including certifications), workshops, webinars and courses offered online and in regions across the country until September 2021.

These activities will help your municipality gain asset management knowledge and skills to support better infrastructure investment decisions. Activities include national training opportunities along with local events tailored to meet your region’s needs.

Benefits of asset management training

  • Incorporate best practices into your municipality’s day-to-day operations

  • Implement approaches that will help your municipality make cost-saving and sustainable infrastructure decisions
