The DECEMBER 2022 FUNDING BULLETIN!

2022 has been quite a year - we are intact, we flourished - we made it – now it’s time for fun, relaxation, family, friends, neighbours, cooking, cleaning, resting, celebrating, travel – whatever makes us feel good and gives us a sense of holiday and rest. And, it’s a time for making exciting plans for 2023. One of those exciting plans is planning ahead to secure grant funding in 2023.

For companies that are growing rapidly whether in Canada or internationally, the best way to maximize grant funding for your innovation and/or growth plans is to build a 2023 Grant Plan. With 60+ Employment/Training Grant Funding Programs, and, 130+ Innovation Grant Funding Programs at my fingertips, you'll be quickly apprised of the grant funding programs available for your company. Next is to prepare each grant submission way ahead of the deadline to reduce stress and mistakes. Just in case a funding submission is not approved your next steps are to talk with the funder and find out why and what they recommend for changes. And, because you have built your 2023 Grant Plan, you'll be apprised of a good number of funding options thereby increasing your chances of securing funding versus only applying for one program.

For today, here’s three 2023 grant funding opportunities that you might like to check out.

1) ERA’s Industrial Transformation Challenge - the deadline is January 19th, 2023.  “Alberta’s industrial sector accounts for approximately two-thirds of the province’s greenhouse gas emissions. ERA’s new $50 million Industrial Transformation Challenge will advance technology opportunities with significant environmental and economic benefits across Alberta’s major industries. This Challenge is focused on technology opportunities that will be key solutions for achieving net-zero emissions and securing the competitiveness of existing and new industries.” The Government of Alberta is committing up to $50 million through Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA) for the Industrial Transformation Challenge. Funds are sourced from the Technology Innovation and Emissions Reduction (TIER) fund.” Check out: Funding - Emissions Reduction Alberta (eralberta.ca) (Note there’s been a few changes to the TIER system – Tier Regulation and Administrative Penalty Regulations Amendments.)

2) Employment and training grants - I emphasize these funding programs because I am surprised that so few clients access these funding programs. If your company is growing or you have plans to grow your company in 2023 don't miss out on the excellent funding programs.

3) Summer jobs grant applications are open until Jan 12/23.
