Empowering Futures for Apprentices

Fill critical labour gaps with wage subsidies, financial incentives, and additional supports for employers who create new work-integrated learning opportunities for students and apprentices.

Critical labour gaps in Canada’s electricity sector point to the importance of hiring new talent and opening doors for students and first-year apprentices. The trades in Canada’s electricity sector were experiencing a pre-pandemic retirement rate of 1.5x the national average.
