APRIL 2022 FUNDING BULLETIN!

APRIL 2022 FUNDING BULLETIN!

Getting Back to In-Person Work!

Magic words for all of us – I am continuing to be careful, and, have had a few client meetings. I feel comfortable now to have client meetings with masking and all.

Besides Propel & the PTAC event, one of the biggest events in the tech community is Inventures in June - Fearless for the Future! Don’t you just love “Fearless for the Future!” – amazing what 4 little words can do to motivate us as we move forward.

If you haven’t signed up, consider signing up. It’s a fantastic event and you’ll meet so many people – innovation collaborators, service providers, funders and many more. https://inventurescanada.com/ I can hardly wait to see everyone in person!

The Alberta at Work Initiative

After reading through the the FEBRUARY 2022 Innovation Funding Bulletin, it leads me to thinking more about Budget 2022 and Alberta’s $600M Back to Work program and its many benefits. And, there’s much more funding– here’s a few links to check out: Budget highlights | Alberta.cahttps://www.alberta.ca/budget-documents.aspx & the Budget in Graphic form -https://twitter.com/trevortombe/status/1496988340947546216/photo/1

Plus, there are many other employment/training grants worthy of your review - 60+ as documented in the Overview of the 60+! Employment & Training Programs.

Building a 2022 Employment & Training Plan will assist you match your employment/hiring requirements with grant funding programs. Each business has differing requirements – for some companies there’s only a few grant programs available, but, for a company with growth plans, there’s a good number of grant programs available. Give me a call to discuss.

35 Years!

Linked In beat me to it by announcing earlier this year that 2021 was a milestone year marking my 35th year in management consulting. Now it's my turn to announce this career achievement! It’s been the best career path that I could ever have chosen. When I first started my consulting practice, I made calls and met with B2B companies – primarily manufacturers serving the energy sector, or providing building supplies as Calgary and Alberta were rapidly growing. I met the most fantastic leaders, and, I will always be grateful for meeting them and their contracting me for research / business planning / funding requirements.

Since then, there have been about 200 technical/technology businesses that I have worked for over the last 35 years – it’s been a challenge, and, it’s worked out well for me and for my clients. My only regret is I didn’t keep better records of the companies that I worked with over these 35 years as it would be so good to see these clients again from so long ago.

BACK TO YOU END OF MAY/EARLY JUNE

Be in touch if you have queries about grant funding. Sometimes a 15-20 minute call can provide you with direction when it comes to learning about and securing funding. For the most part, companies that are new to the innovation funding landscape, and, employment/training arena, need at minimum 2 to 4 days consulting time plus the Overviews to get acclimatized to the funding arena. Consulting assistance quickly expands your knowledge of the funding arena while also narrowing your focus to specific funding programs that fit your R&D requirements and/or your employment/training requirements. All to assist your business move forward with your growth plans from idea to the prototype to testing to market launch.

That's it for me! Call or email to be in touch about your funding requirements as you may require!
